Dr. Thomas Weber was a member of the interest rate research team of Professor Bühler after studying Financial Economics at the University Mannheim, Germany. His results on the valuation of interest rate options earned several international prizes. Parallel with his scientific activities he consulted banks and large corporations in developing models to simulate the whole organisation. Through this practical work he gained a deep understanding of business processes and the use of information technology.
After finishing his theses he joined the Deutsche Bank AG, where he was responsible for the development of the risk methodology and the approval of pricing models. With the foundation of Weber & Partner he now has built the link between advanced methods from management science with practical implementations.
Christiane Sulzer joined KfW, Frankfurt, the Germany's economic development bank, after finishing her studies of financial economics at the University of Mannheim. At KfW she was part of a specialized project finance team for the energy sector. Based on her longterm experience in the credit department she moved on to the secretariat of management affaires where she developed policies and strategies for the bank. In the beginning of 1997 she founded together with Dr. Thomas Weber the company Weber & Partner Financial Technology.
